Bayern 3-0 Anderlecht: Bavarians made to wait as struggles go on

Bayern Munich’s 3-0 opening Champions League win against Anderlecht was not undeserved but the scoreline flattered them as the 10-man visitors put up a worthy fight. Despite having Sven Kums sent off for Robert Lewandowski’s blatant dive for the opening penalty, the Belgians had a pair of excellent opportunities to score including an effort off the post before Thiago Alcantara and Joshua Kimmich rounded off the scoring late on.
