Germany 4-1 Mexico: Goretzka guides rampant rookies into Confeds final


Wary of underestimating their opponents and sharing Portugal’s fate, a young and experimental Germany came roaring out the starting blocks in their Confederations Cup semi-final and blitzed Mexico to the tune of a 4-1 result. Leon Goretzka capped what has been a personal breakout tournament with a fine brace as Timo Werner and Amin Younes wrapped up the win, putting them into the final against Chile.
