Monaco 2-0 St-Etienne: Mbappe seals first Ligue 1 title in 17 years!

Monaco wrapped up their first Ligue 1 title in 17 years as they won 2-0 at home against St Etienne on Wednesday. The Principality had to lose for the title race to be extended to the final round of the season but Kylian Mbappe destroyed any lingering PSG hopes of a slip-up as he rounded the keeper in the 19th minute to score. Even a draw would have been enough for Monaco to clinch the title and perhaps this affected the performance as Monaco racked up the misses following Mbappe's early strike. It took until the 93rd minute before Monaco scored again as Valere Germain made up for a shocking miss earlier in the match by tapping home to cue massive celebrations at Stade Louis II.
