Southampton 0-0 Man United: Romero stars for second-string Reds!
Sergio Romero denied Manolo Gabbiadini from the penalty spot and made a series of excellent saves as a weakened Manchester United XI drew 0-0 at Southampton in the Premier League on Wednesday.
Jose Mourinho's men can no longer finish in the top four and have, therefore, turned their focus towards next Wednesday's Europa League final where a win would ensure qualification to next season's Champions League.
Romero has been a star in United's run in Europe and was given the chance to shine in the Premier League at St Mary's which he took as he dived low to his right to make the stop on Gabbiadini's fifth minute penalty.
The Argentinean then produced the save of the match later in the second half as flew to his left to make a two-handed save to stop James Ward-Prowse's lovely curling effort from finding net.
