Europa League quarter-finals second leg: Ajax endured a valiant Schalke comeback to triumph 4-3 on aggregate after extra-time, despite going down to 10 men. The Bundesliga side looked to have pulled off a miraculous comeback after being 2-0 down from the first leg. Goals from Leon Goretzka and Guido Burgstaller made the tie 2-2 on aggregate for Schalke, forcing the match into extra-time. Daniel Caligiuri looked to have sealed the win for the Germans when he scored in the 101st minute. However, Nick Viergever and Amin Younes grabbed the crucial goals for Ajax in the 111th and 120th minutes to swing the match back in their favour.
