Darmstadt 2-1 Schalke: 93rd minute winner staves off relegation!

Rock-bottom Darmstadt kept their Bundesliga status for another week as they produced the most dramatic of 2-1 wins over Schalke on Sunday. The hosts started the match 17 points from the relegation play-off spot and with only six matches left to be played - they knew they had to beat Schalke. But when Mario Vrancic's early tap-in was cancelled out by Coke in the 75th minute things were not looking good for Darmstadt. Buoyed by the 81st minute dismissal for Schalke's Thilo Kehrer, Darmstadt poured forward for a winner and got their rewards in the 93rd minute as Jerome Gondorf slammed home a loose ball to spark wild celebrations in the stadium.
