Napoli 1-3 (agg: 2-6) Real - Ramos breaks Partenopei resistance!
A Sergio Ramos header in the 51st minute proved to be the turning point for Real Madrid who eventually secured a 3-1 win at Napoli on Tuesday for a 6-2 aggregate Champions League round of 16 triumph.
The two-legged affair looked poised for drama when Dries Mertens netted for the home team on 24 minutes to reduce Madrid's aggregate lead to 3-2 on the night. But Ramos - as he so often does - popped up with a goal at a crucial time, rising to the occasion to head in a corner from Toni Kroos to deflate the Partenopei.
Ramos then got the better of his markers once again just six minutes later to put head to ball on another Kroos corner - this time the effort deflected off Mertens for an unfortunate own goal.
Alvaro Morata rounded up the scoring with a 91st minute tap-in after Cristiano Ronaldo's shot had been spilled into his path.
